Executive Director Laura Walton
Laura Walton has served as the Executive Director of Martha’s Task since July 2015. A native Oklahoman and graduate of the University of Oklahoma, she brings more than 30 years of experience in journalism and public relations, having worked in newspapers, magazines, and media outreach before transitioning to the nonprofit sector.
Laura is passionate about the therapeutic and empowering aspects of the program, finding joy in seeing clients thrive creatively through their handmade work. Under her leadership, Martha’s Task has expanded its reach and deepened its impact in the community.
She is happily married to Rod Walton, and together they have four grown children and one grandchild.
